Jackie Adams is a water quality extension associate with IISG located at the U.S. EPA Great Lakes National Program Office (GLNPO). She works aboard the R/V Lake Guardian for both the spring and summer GLNPO Open Lake Water Quality Surveys. She provides water quality information to Great Lakes managers, assists with all areas of the biannual State of the Lakes Ecosystem Conference, and helps communities to develop habitat restoration plans following sediment remediation.
Currently, she in the process of helping GLNPO staff to develop a nearshore monitoring program that will use GLNPO’s new Triaxus towed sensor platform and side scan sonar. Jackie also assists in IISG Getting Rid of Stuff projects--Safe Disposal of Unwanted Medicine, ecycling, and Alternatives to Burning Trash.
