As the associate director for education, Robin is the principle investigator for COSEE Great Lakes, an NSF/NOAA collaboration linking teachers and scientists to enhance Great Lakes education. She also educates teachers and students about the benefits and risks of fish consumption through the Fish School Stewardship Project. Robin has worked with a national team of Sea Grant educators to develop a nationally-focused web site, Nab the Aquatic Invader! featuring a multitude of classroom activities. Her latest endeavors include teaching a university service-learning course that creates unique opportunities for learning through school-community partnerships and a high school service-learning curriculum that addresses safe disposal of unwanted medicine.
Robin has coordinated four award-wining collaborative national regional curriculum projects on aquatic invasive species and is heavily involved in curriculum development focused on Great Lakes topics. She holds an Ed.M. in Curriculum & Instruction and a B.A. in Geography from the University of Illinois.
